Content of the Cosmetologist Requalification Course (Code: 69-030-M):
The Cosmetologist requalification course is designed in accordance with the applicable qualification standard, which is accredited by the Ministry of Health. The course is aimed at acquiring professional competence in the field of cosmetic services and is part of the personal and operational services group.
Key Professional Competences:
Evaluation of skin type and condition:
Diagnosis: Determining the client’s skin type based on visual examination and clinical diagnosis, taking into account factors such as age, climate, diet, lifestyle, and skin condition.
16 skin types: Knowledge of classification systems for skin types and understanding their characteristics and care needs.
Client card: Maintaining a client card where data about skin type, previous procedures, potential allergies, and contraindications are recorded, enabling the creation of personalized care plans.
Identification of contraindications: Identifying contraindications for performing procedures.
Recommendation of suitable procedures: Creating individual recommendations for the client based on their skin condition and selecting the most effective and safest procedures (cleansing, masks, peels, massages, etc.).
Skin cleansing:
Surface cleansing: Cleaning the top layer of skin from impurities, excess oil, and dead cells using gentle cleansing products.
Deep cleansing: A procedure aimed at cleaning pores from impurities and comedones, including the use of ultrasonic scrapers, vacuum devices, or manual methods.
Peels: Using chemical, mechanical, or enzymatic peels to renew the top layer of skin, improve texture and color, as well as to fight hyperpigmentation, acne, and wrinkles.
Hair removal and eyebrow correction:
Hair removal methods: Various methods of hair removal, including wax epilation and sugaring, selected according to skin type and desired results.
Eyebrow correction: Care for the shape of the eyebrows, including coloring, waxing, and shaping according to the client’s facial features.
Cosmetic massage for the face, neck, and décolletage:
Basic massage techniques: Massage movements aimed at improving blood circulation, relaxing muscles, enhancing skin elasticity, and relieving tension.
Contraindications: Knowledge of cases when cosmetic massage is contraindicated.
Use of cosmetic products:
Storage of cosmetic products: Knowledge of conditions for storing cosmetic products.
Proper usage: Selection of products according to skin type, client age, seasonality, and other factors.
Composition of products: Knowledge of the composition of cosmetic products, active ingredients, and their effects on the skin.
Daily makeup:
Face shaping correction: Using makeup to enhance facial contours, cover imperfections, highlight advantages, work with skin tone, and correct the shape of eyes, eyebrows, and lips.
Makeup application: Techniques for proper makeup application using various tools (brushes, sponges, applicators).
Skin care consultation:
Recommendations for home care: Creating individualized recommendations for clients on choosing skin care products based on skin type and condition, as well as care goals (hydration, nutrition, rejuvenation, acne treatment, etc.).
Product selection: Choosing cosmetic products for home care based on skin characteristics and client needs.
Skin anatomy and pathological changes:
Skin layers: Knowledge of the structure and function of all layers of the skin (epidermis, dermis, hypodermis) and their role in protection, nourishment, and regeneration.
Pathological changes: Understanding common skin diseases, such as acne, eczema, rosacea, pigmentation, and approaches to their treatment.
Facial, neck, and décolletage muscles: Anatomy of muscles, their role in aesthetics, relaxation, and strengthening methods through massages and other procedures.
Use of appliances in cosmetology:
Use of devices: Knowledge and application of cosmetic equipment.
Observing hygiene standards:
Hygiene standards: Knowledge of hygiene and safety standards in cosmetic services, including sterilization of tools, use of disposable materials, and adherence to sanitary rules.
First aid: Providing first aid in emergency situations, such as allergic reactions to cosmetic products.
Business activities in cosmetic services:
Legal and economic aspects: Understanding the basics of entrepreneurship in the cosmetic industry, accounting, service pricing, taxes, and legal obligations.

After successfully completing the course and final exam, participants will receive a professional qualification certificate that is valid throughout the European Union. This certificate allows them to work as a cosmetologist without the need for a responsible representative.
